For many young people, a university education remains out of reach. Rising living costs and global crises continue to widen the gap between those who can afford to study and those who cannot. Yet, a degree doesn’t just open doors to better career opportunities; it transforms lives, improving health, stability, and future prospects.
At the University Fund Limburg, we believe that talent, not financial background, should determine who gets to study. That’s why we’re raising funds to provide scholarships for students with big dreams but limited means. Because education should be accessible to everyone.
This holiday season, the Maastricht University alumni community in Germany is coming together to make a difference. By joining forces, they aim to open the doors of opportunity for the next generation; students who, just like them, want to learn, grow, and contribute to the world.
Our goal: €7,500; enough to fund a full bachelor’s scholarship for one ambitious student at Maastricht University.

About Maastricht University Alumni Circles
An Alumni Circle is a local network of UM alumni who get together, and organise events on a time-to-time basis. An Alumni Circle consists of an Alumni Committee with a few dedicated alumni who are willing to facilitate and host events in their city. Together with the Event and Community Coordinator from the Alumni Office, they develop the programme. The committee members are key in maintaining the local network and fulfil an important role as ambassadors of Maastricht University.
