Students for Equality

Do you believe that access to higher education should never depend on someone’s financial background? We do too.

Students for Equality is a student-led initiative committed to making studying at Maastricht University accessible to everyone. Each year, many talented international students aspire to study at UM, but financial barriers — particularly tuition fees — stand in the way of their ambitions.

Through Students for Equality, we raise funds to support international students who cannot afford the costs of higher education. Every donation goes directly towards making it possible for motivated and capable students to pursue their studies at Maastricht University.

We are a diverse team of students from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Law, with backgrounds in Egypt, Turkey, and the Netherlands. What unites us is the shared belief that education should be based on talent and motivation — not on financial means.
