Give to...a better life for diabetes patients

Still to go

from €8.500 (0%)

In the Netherlands, 100,000 people have type 1 diabetes. It is a life-threatening condition. Patients must continually self-inject insulin or wear a pump. This is time-consuming, stressful and painful. One solution to this is implants. UM is working on a unique implant that is made up of the patient’s own cells, which will make insulin use unnecessary. This ensures optimal integration with the body and greatly improves quality of life. Funding is needed to further develop this implant. Will you
contribute, too?
